Description

The Section 27 and Public Domain Books Project houses digitisations (primarily in the form of scans) of books covered by Section 27(1) of New Zealand's Copyright Act 1994 -- that is, many Kiwi court, inquiry, municipal and parliamentary documents.

The Section 27(1)-compliant books themselves thus have no copyright and are provided as e-books on this basis. They're mainly historical texts such as the Mazengarb Report.

On the odd occasion, other (usually related) books that are not Section 27(1)-compliant but in the public domain are scanned and added. Also, the odd set of scanned images donated from Project Gutenberg's Distributed Proofreaders site is uploaded. (Both of these types are clearly marked as such.)

Description

Cases in Ghanaian Land Law. These are full-text legal decisions in the real property law of Ghana. The oldest decisions are from the British colonial courts of the latter 19th century: decisions range through the present day. Many of these decisions are either landmark cases or representative of major principles of the real property law of Ghana. Most are from the area of the customary land law of Ghana, although there are decisions relating to statutory areas, such as land title registration, as well.

Most cases contain numerous typographical errors, sometimes quite serious, which are being fixed as time allows. It is hoped that they will be useful to those interested in the subject, and to help preserve information in older books which can be difficult to find. Due to the number of typos, they are likely not suitable for lawyers who need to extract quotes for briefs, etc.

Groklaw is an open source legal research project maintained by Pamela Jones, a paralegal who tracks the SCO vs. IBM litigation. We investigate SCO's litigation against IBM and Linux and provide legal research and which helps to clear the cloud of misinformation and confusion surrounding the case. The site contains commentary and links to all relevant court and SEC filings.

Groklaw was active from 2003 to 2013 and now avaliable to view in a read only static form.
