    <summary><![CDATA[<p>The Section 27 and Public Domain Books Project houses digitisations (primarily in the form of scans) of books covered by Section 27(1) of New Zealand&#039;s Copyright Act 1994 -- that is, many Kiwi court, inquiry, municipal and parliamentary documents.</p><p>The Section 27(1)-compliant books themselves thus have no copyright and are provided as e-books on this basis. They&#039;re mainly historical texts such as the Mazengarb Report.</p><p>On the odd occasion, other (usually related) books that are not Section 27(1)-compliant but in the public domain are scanned and added. Also, the odd set of scanned images donated from Project Gutenberg&#039;s Distributed Proofreaders site is uploaded. (Both of these types are clearly marked as such.)</p>]]></summary>

By doing so, we try to gain an understanding of what motivated him to act, what constituted(/and constitutes) Gandhian philosophy, and whether we can emulate his means of initiating political change through &quot;satyagraha&quot; - truth struggle - and &quot;ahimsa&quot; - non violence - today. We engage in a dialogue with Gandhi to understand our own lives, times and crises.]]></summary>
